Laboratories

At Bhupindra International Public School (BIPS), Patiala, laboratories are designed as active learning environments where students explore ideas, conduct experiments and develop scientific thinking through hands-on experience.

Rather than limiting learning to textbooks, BIPS encourages students to observe, experiment, analyse and discover concepts themselves. These laboratories help bridge the gap between theory and real-world understanding.

LABS

Science Laboratory

BIPS houses well-equipped Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General Science laboratories, designed to support investigative learning and practical experimentation.

Each laboratory is furnished with modern apparatus, experimental equipment, computers, whiteboards and projectors that enable teachers to demonstrate concepts in an engaging and interactive manner.

Key features include:

  • Spacious and well-organised student workstations
  • Modern scientific equipment and demonstration tools
  • Digital teaching support through computers and projectors
  • Multiple exit points for enhanced safety

The Chemistry Laboratory is specially equipped with hand showers at each working unit to quickly manage any accidental chemical exposure, ensuring the highest level of student safety.

LABS

Physics Laboratory

At BIPS, physics is taught as a subject that builds conceptual clarity, observation skills, and scientific reasoning, moving beyond rote learning to real-world understanding.

The Physics laboratories in the primary and senior wings are equipped with modern apparatus, experimental models, and digital tools that enable students to explore fundamental principles through hands-on learning. Through interactive experiments and practical demonstrations, students learn to:

  • understand laws of motion, energy, and forces
  • develop measurement and analytical skills
  • apply theoretical concepts to real-life situations

This approach helps students experience physics as practical, logical, and intellectually stimulating, fostering curiosity and innovation.

ROBOTICS

Robotics and Innovation Lab

To prepare students for a technology-driven world, BIPS has introduced a Robotics and Innovation Laboratory where students learn the fundamentals of robotics, logical design and problem-solving.

Through guided activities and projects, students are introduced to:

  • basic robotics concepts
  • coding and logical sequencing
  • mechanical design and automation
  • creative problem-solving

These experiences help children develop innovation skills, curiosity about technology and confidence in building and experimenting.

LABS

Computer Laboratory

Digital literacy has become an essential part of education in the modern era.

The Computer Laboratory at BIPS is equipped with modern computer systems and learning software that help students develop essential digital skills from an early stage.

Students are guided in learning:

  • basic computer operations
  • digital research and information literacy
  • safe and responsible internet usage
  • application software and presentation tools

These skills help students become confident and responsible digital learners in an increasingly technology-driven world.

LABS

Language Laboratory

Strong communication skills are an important part of a student’s overall development.

The Language Laboratory at BIPS is equipped with computers, projectors, interactive boards and audio systems that help students develop listening, speaking and presentation skills.

Through activities such as:

  • audio-visual learning sessions
  • language comprehension exercises
  • interactive discussions
  • ASL (Assessment of Speaking and Listening) programmes

The language lab environment helps students become confident communicators capable of expressing their ideas clearly and effectively.
