Safety First: What Every Patiala Parent Needs to Know

Preschool is a very emotional time for parents as well as for the kids. Both after spending nearly three years together all the time are going to spend a few hours every day away from each other.

The separation anxiety is there, the fear of your child being too young to join the learning environment is here, and the ultimate concern for your child’s safety will always be there.

So, to address all of your concerns, I am writing this blog regarding the safety of your child in a preschool; what every parent of Patiala should know before choosing a preschool as far as choosing the right preschool for their kids.

These regularities are laid by the Department of School Education, Punjab. Hence, if you want the best preschool in Patiala for your child, they must be following them all.

CCTV Cameras

Close-circuit cameras are a ubiquitous sight in the world, and they are compulsory for preschools.

The Minister of Social Security, Women, and Children Development, Baljeet Kaur at the end of the last year made it compulsory for every preschool to have CCTV cameras for monitoring and security purposes.

We all know the importance of cameras. That's why we require these to be installed in all the places that hold any importance to us.

It goes without saying that we would want our kids to be under CCTV surveillance to ensure nothing less-pleasant happens to our kids.

The Safer Building

The building should be way more than lavish, shiny, with acs and other luxury things. First of all the nursery or elementary classes have to be on the ground floor.

There cannot be more than three floors in the building where elementary classes are situated, counting the ground floor as the first.

There cannot be any toxic or inflammable materials laying around in the building. If these materials are the ultimate necessity, then they have to be stored away from the school building.

These rules are the basics that no school can afford to ignore. If you see violations of the safer building rules, you know this might not be the best school in Patiala.

The water sources like water tanks have to be secured as well as covered, to rule out any false play.

Toilets of the Property

The government of Punjab went to lengths to lay suitable rules for schools' toilets.

  1. There have to be different restrooms for boys, girls, teachers, faculty, and visitors.

  2. The school will make sure there is soap available in all the washrooms for hygiene purposes.

  3. The restrooms will have to be clean.

  4. The toilets must have a safe and clean method of disposing of waste material. The advisory underlines that this rule must be strictly followed in girls’ toilets.

  5. The school must have separate restrooms for children with special needs.

  6. Each toilet will have doors to ensure the privacy of schools.

These rules are to be strictly adhered to by the schools. So, if you think your child’s ideal school is failing to hold most or any of these rules up, you should explore other options.

Laboratories

When the labs are not a part of your child’s learning plan for some years, they can be accessible to them. So, discussing them would be our responsibility.

There used to be an exciting cartoon back in the 90s called Dexter’s Laboratory; at the very beginning of it, during the intro, you could see Dexter accidentally experiencing an electric shock in his lab.

The whole point behind this nostalgic anecdote is that Dexter was shown as the kid Wonder, a super bright guy. If an accident could happen to him in the lab, it could happen to anyone.

To tackle any unpleasant lab accidents, the government of Punjab has made it mandatory for the schools to install an exhaust facility so that gases of any kind can be sucked out of the room.

There has to be a first aid box available all the time. A school team should be trained accurately to ensure the safety of the children in the case of any lab related emergency.

Ending Note

So, these are some of the safety measures every child deserves, and every school must provide if you are zeroing out on one for your child.

There are several notions going on in the market regarding how a child must be raised, how they are to be treated, and how they should be taken away from the technology. However, there are not enough of them to showcase how to teach them how to study, or even more important how to learn.

BIPS or Bhupindra International Public High School revolutionized the world of learning for Patiala when they introduced the Montessori learning system at the start of the 21st century.

This method allows children to learn at their own pace while playing and not demonizing any special subjects like maths, science or English.

The results are brilliant and in front of all of you. BIPS students can speak four languages, do maths with 10000 digits, and explain the maps of Asia as well as Europe at the young age of five.

Are you still thinking about which school to choose?
