With a very purposeful and message oriented theme, BIPS organised the Annual Function entitled ‘Kartavya’ for junior wing on December 7′ 2019. The occasion was graced by the benign presence of Mr. Sanjeev Sharma, the Mayor, Patiala. Mr. Sardara Singh, Arjuna Awardee, Padmashree Awardee and Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Awardee, the former Captain, Indian Hockey Team, was the Guest of Honour. After the auspicious ceremony of Lamp Lighting by the Chief Guest, the Guest of Honour, the Management and the Principal, the function started with a shabad followed by mesmerizing musical and dance performances. The stage was set on fire with different dance forms, showing the various cultures and traditions of India by the tiny toddlers and the students of junior wing. The variety of the items presented on the stage such as Western dance, Patriotic Dance, Bhangra and many more enthralled the audience. The demerits of over utilization of the natural resources- especially water was highlighted through English play and a profound message to save water was given to one and all. The Annual Report in scholastic and co-scholastic was read out by the Head Girl of the school. Prizes and certificates were distributed to the position holders in scholastic and co- scholastic areas. The Chief Guest appreciated the efforts of the students and the teachers. With a profound message to understand the indispensible stature of a woman, BIPS organized its Annual Function entitled ‘JAGRITI – The Awakening’ for the senior school on December 8′ 2019. The occasion was graced by the presence of Honourable Ms. Poonam Deep Kaur, IAS, Municipal Commissioner, Patiala, as the Chief Guest. S. Yograj Singh, four Lifetime Achievement Awardee from PTC and Filmfare, twenty one Best Actor Awardee, Star of the Millennium Awardee 2019 in Australia and England, the famous cricketer and actor, Ms. Aarti Verma, IPS, Senior Superintendent, Head Post Office, Patiala and Ms. Isha Singhal, PCS, Estate Officer, Puda, was the Guest of Honour. After the auspicious ceremony of lamp lighting by the Chief Guest, Guests of Honour, the management and the Principal of BIPS, the function started with a shabad .Various dance forms, presented by the students enthralled everyone. The students, dressed up in colourful attires, were looking vibrant and enthusiastic. Various dance forms such as Western, Classical, Contemporary and many more made every heart vivacious. Musical performances be it patriotic song, folk song or the folk instrumental, left everyone dumbstruck. The plight of a woman in the society was reflected through English play along with the message of empowering women. Trophies and certificates were awarded to the achievers in academic and co curricular field. The Chief Guest, appreciated the students for their best efforts and stated that BIPS is bound to enjoy glory, name and fame because of the best services put in by the Principal and the staff.
